The 2006 Haemovigilance Report was drawn up using notifications of complications and incidents that were reported in the centres participating in the Haemovigilance Programme in Catalonia during the period in question.

The report includes:

• Reactions and adverse effects of blood transfusion
• Adverse reactions in blood donation
• Adverse reactions during the production of blood components
• Conclusions, comments and recommendations
