Corporate information
The Banc de Sang i Teixits (Blood and Tissue Bank, BST) is a public agency of the Catalan Department of Health whose activities are governed by private law. It is incorporated as an independent legal entity with full capacity to act in fulfilment of its stated purposes, in accordance with Article 1 of Law 8/2007 of 30 July.
The BST is committed to publicising its contracting needs in compliance with the terms of Royal Decree-Law 3/2011 of 14 November, which approved the revised text of the Law on Public-Sector Contracts. This legal text establishes that procurement activity must be published on the internet, under the company's buyer profile, to ensure transparency, reach a wide audience and provide free access to all contracting procedures initiated by the BST.
The buyer profile must include data and information on the contracting party's procurement activity, such as preliminary announcements, open or ongoing tender processes and all associated documentation, contracts awarded and any other general information of interest.
This profile contains all information regarding the BST's procurement processes for works, supplies and services.
