Anaemia

You can give blood if you have a history of iron-deficiency anaemia or are on preventative maintenance treatment and you are not anaemic at the time of donation.

You cannot be a blood donor if you are being analysed or are receiving treatment for anaemia at the time of donation.

You cannot be a blood donor if you have a diagnosed vitamin B12 or folic acid deficiency anaemia.
