  1. You can donate if you have mild involvement, the puncture site is not affected and you are only on topical treatment.
  2. If you have widespread and severe involvement, you must put off giving blood until it has resolved.
  3. If you have received treatment with PUVA, ciclosporin, hydroxycarbamide or monoclonal antibodies, you must put off giving blood until 1 year after the last dose.
  4. If you have received treatment with Acitretin, you must put off giving blood for 3 years from the last dose.

If you have ever taken Etretinate, we are sorry to inform you that you cannot be a blood donor.
