- You can donate if you have mild involvement, the puncture site is not affected and you are only on topical treatment.
- If you have widespread and severe involvement, you must put off giving blood until it has resolved.
- If you have received treatment with PUVA, ciclosporin, hydroxycarbamide or monoclonal antibodies, you must put off giving blood until 1 year after the last dose.
- If you have received treatment with Acitretin, you must put off giving blood for 3 years from the last dose.
If you have ever taken Etretinate, we are sorry to inform you that you cannot be a blood donor.
