Migraine

1. You can give if you are on preventative treatment; if you are having an episode, you must put off giving blood.
2. If you take Topiramate, you must wait 7 days until the end of the treatment.
3. If you take beta-blockers and your heart rate is below 60 beats per minute at the time of donation, you will not be able to give blood.

If you suffer frequent severe migraines more than twice a week requiring regular treatment, including prevention with prednisone, you cannot give blood until you have recovered.
