Thyroid disorders

  1. Hypothyroidism: you can give blood if you are on thyroxine treatment.
  2. Radioactive iodine treatment: you can give blood once 6 months have passed since the end of the treatment.
  3. Antithyroid treatment: you can give blood once 2 years have passed since the end of treatment.
  4. We regret to inform you that you cannot be a blood donor if you have had thyroid cancer or if the disease is accompanied by involvement of other organs in the body.
