Endocrine diseases

You can give blood if you have:

  • Diabetes treated without insulin.
  • Thyroid or parathyroid disease related to a confirmed benign tumour.

We are sorry to inform you that you cannot be a blood donor in the following situations:

  • Diabetes treated with insulin.
  • Endocrine disease due to a malignant tumour.
  • Diabetes insipidus.
  • Adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease).
